How to Make windows2008 server as aditional domain controller in Windows 2003 active dorectory forest

Generally by running dcpromo.exe command in new server we can setup activedirectory. But in this case it is little bit different. Before executing dcpromo.exe commnad on Windows 2008 server in windows 2003 active directory forest you should execute some command in windows 2003 server. Here i am giving commands which you need to execute on windows 2003 server. 1. ADPREP /Forestprep on the w2k3 schema master. Before executing this command your schema should be replicated at least once. If not do it manually. 2. ADPREP /rodcprep on the w2k3 domain master. 3. ADPREP /domainprep on the w2k3 infrastructure master. Raise the domain functional level from windows 2000 native mode to windows 2003 functional level before executing this command. 4.
